Meet at the Beach Ballroom, Aberdeen at 9am, departing at 9:30. Head along the Esplanade and turn right onto the Ellon road. Turn left at the Murcar roundabout, heading for Pitmedden, Tarves, Auchnagatt, Old Deer, and Mintlaw. Turn left at the roundabout and stop at the Happy PLant Garden & Gift Centre.

After coffee and shopping, head back, passing the Old Deer turn off, turning left for Maud, New Deer and Methlick, turning right for Fyvie. Turn into Fyvie Castle and park in front of the building. www.nts.org.uk/Property/51

After a tour of the NTS House and lunch, the rest of the day is your own to walk the grounds or head home.

Alternately there is a shorter run organised by the Kildrummy Rally. Timings are the same but this run takes you to the Millers at Midmar.
