The 1100 Club Spring Show, Bubble Car Museum near Boston
Bubble Car Museum, Boston, Lincolnshire
10.00
The 1100 Club’s Spring Show for 2024 will take place at the Bubble Car Museum near Boston in Lincolnshire on Drive It Day, which is 21st April.
Entry to the rally field on the day is free, but visitors would be strongly encouraged to visit the museum, which costs just £4 per adult to enter, or £1 per child, and also offers a paper guidebook to tell you about the cars on show for an additional £1.
Inside the museum there are over fifty microcars on display, many in thought provoking dioramas and including examples of Bond, Isetta, Reliant, Frisky and Bamby, to name but a few. There is also a row of recreated shops for visitors to explore, memorabilia, a gift shop and a café, which is great for afternoon tea and also offers a few simple lunches. For anything more substantial, there is a cafe about a mile down the road called Langrick Station café.
We are hoping that there will be some Bubble Car rides available on the day, which cost £15 for a 15-20 minute spin - when else would you have the chance to be a passenger in something so tiny?
The full address of the museum for navigation is: The Bubblecar Museum, Clover Farm, Main Rd, Langrick, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE22 7AW.
Non-members in visiting classics are very welcome to come along and join us - the museum is open to the public on the day as normal so the more the merrier!

Just a mile from the centre of Windsor and easily accessed from the M4 and M25, Windsor Great Park, Legoland and Ascot, Castle View will be open to participants of the event, and those keen to view some beautiful classic cars.
“As great classic car enthusiasts ourselves, we thought it would be fun to host a coffee stop for anyone in the West London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey areas to get their old vehicles out. There’s no knowing what sort of vehicles will be here on the day, but last year we had a wonderful assortment of over 35 classic sports and saloon cars,” says Lisa Fisher, village manager of Castle View.
To join in, drivers can purchase a ‘Drive It Day’ car plaque from just £12.50 at www.driveitday.co.uk/shop and just turn up on the day, no pre-booking required.

Military Vehicle Trust's Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings
Normandy, France
all week
The Military Vehicle Trust is the World's largest group of ex-military vehicle owners and the only charity dedicated to “keeping our mechanical veterans alive”, and we are about to embark on a great crusade....... On June 6th 2024, it will be 80 years since the start of the greatest seaborne invasion in history and people will gather together in Normandy to mark the anniversary of the D-Day landings.
There will be the greatest ever presence of MVT members travelling to Normandy this June; over 300 vehicles and 900 people will be staying all over Normandy, taking an impressive range of WW2 military vehicles including motorcycles, staff cars, jeeps, command cars, ambulances, trucks, tracked vehicles and armour. Whilst there, we will be attending a wide range of commemorations, including large national events such as the parade at Bayeux, Gold Beach Remembers at The Normandy Memorial and at the beach at Arromanches. There will also be scores of smaller gatherings, commemorations and acts of remembrance during the week which our members will attend. We have put together a comprehensive package of support to help our members, whether they are new to Normandy or seasoned travellers.

Classics at the Spa
Leamington Spa
09:00-16:00
Hi there fellow car enthusiast,
Following the huge success of previous years, we would like to invite you and your club members at Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) to show your amazing vehicles in a wonderful setting... and you'll be benefitting those most in need at the same time.
Previously known as Cars at the Spa, this event will once again be held in Leamington Spa on Sunday 16th June 2024 and attracts thousands of local families and car enthusiasts from across the country.
You can help us provide a fantastic day out for visitors and raise much needed funds for local Rotary charities that we support.
The venue is the beautiful Pump Room Gardens right in the heart of Leamington's regency town centre. Its a bustling location, with an incredible catchment area for visitors as it is a retail hub and tourist destination.
With refreshments and food on site, live entertainment in and around the bandstand in the middle of the gardens, the event is established, well organised and has a buzz about it… and we'd love you to be part of it.

Leyland Society Gathering 2024
British Commercial Vehicle Museum, Leyland, Lancashire
10:00
Following the success of the 2023 Gathering, we will return to Leyland this year and the British Commercial Vehicle Museum have kindly agreed to host our event on Sunday 7th July 2024.
This year will celebrate the 60th anniversary of two major Leyland products, the Ergomatic cab and Leyland Panther bus chassis. The Ergomatic cab was introduced on Leyland, AEC and Albion trucks in 1964 and significantly improved driver comfort on the Leyland Group models. Similarly, the Panther was one of the first rear underfloor engine models introduced to the British market and was supplied to many operators throughout the country. Attendance of these vehicle types at our event would be especially appreciated to help celebrate these milestones.
Vehicle entry forms can be downloaded from the Leyland Society website here: http://www.leylandsociety.co.uk/gathering.htm
All Leyland buses and lorries are welcome to attend and as well as vehicles produced by other Leyland Group companies (e.g. AEC, Albion, BMC, Bristol, Daimler, Guy, Thornycroft, Scammell, etc.). Please note that the closing date for entries will be Friday 9th June to allow sufficient time to send event information to vehicle entrants. To ensure entry to the event and avoid disappointment, entry forms must be returned in good time. Overnight parking can be provided in the museum car park, but no facilities will be available. Parking space will be limited, so entrants wishing to leave their vehicle at the museum overnight must indicate this on the entry form. Unfortunately, due to limited space, we will not be able to offer facilities for transporter unloading this year so all vehicles will have to arrive under their own power. We look forward to seeing a great turnout in July.
