An opportunity you cannot afford to miss!

Published: 30/10/2023

Our scanning partner Genus will be exhibiting on the FBHVC stand in hall 5 at the NEC Classic Car show.

Throughout the entire show, on their stand they will be demonstrating scanning techniques using a Zeutschel OS A scanner and have made an offer to all FBHVC member clubs to have a free demonstration of scanning using their own club material.

If you would like to bring along some archive material in either bound or loose-leaf format, they will scan up to 30 images for you so that you can appreciate the benefits of scanning using material you are familiar with, and the scans will be given to you on a USB stick to keep.

The maximum size they can handle at the show is A2 and they will provide the scans in whatever file format you prefer and will pre agree the file naming format with you.

Clearly the copyright of the material being scanned is important so please ensure that you do not bring along material that is in copyright as they will not be able to scan it.

This is a great opportunity for clubs to experience scanning and then to have examples of what can be achieved for discussion at club committee meetings.

We encourage all clubs to take up this opportunity as part of their archive development journey.
