The Power of the Historic Vehicle Movement – The FBHVC Manifesto

The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) exists to uphold the freedom to use historic vehicles - of all types - on the road without restriction.

Representing more than 550 organisations, whose total membership is over 250,000 people, plus our individual and trade supporters, the FBHVC is the largest body of its kind in the world.

In pursuit of its aim, the FBHVC does this by representing the interests of owners of historic vehicles to politicians, government officials, and legislators both in the UK and (through the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens - FIVA) in Europe.

Our 'manifesto', aimed specifically at those in power, outlines the historic vehicle movement's objectives, with a list of seven key areas that it calls on the government, and all politicians to support.

The 'manifesto' provides our elected representatives in parliament, plus politicians at regional and local levels, key facts about our movement for the future and publicises ‘historic vehicles’ to them, as we continue to work tirelessly to build relationships.

The 'manifesto' complements our published major research project, demonstrating the £7.3bn contribution that the movement makes to the UK economy.
