Car Show Boards make their mark at the NEC Classic Motor Show

"Standing in Hall 3A at this year's NEC Classic Motor Show, surrounded by some of the most beautiful classic vehicles in the country, I felt genuinely proud of how far Car Show Boards UK has come. What started as a simple idea (helping car owners tell their stories more effectively) has grown into something I see making a real difference at events like this" says Mark Baker, owner of Seven Design Associates, which is a FBHVC Trade Supporter.
"This year, around 20 vehicles across the show were supported by my boards. That might not sound like a huge number, but to me it represents something important: owners are starting to recognise the value of displaying their vehicles professionally.
"They're seeing that a well-designed show board isn't just decoration – it's a tool that grabs attention and helps visitors engage with the stories behind these incredible machines."
The Jaguar Drivers Club display was a perfect example. Their wonderful collection of MkIIs, a D-Type and an XJR were each complemented by visually engaging A2 show boards.
"The staff on the stand told me how much more people were stopping to read the information, taking time to appreciate not just the cars themselves but the stories and details that make them special.
"I was equally delighted to work with the FBHVC on their large eclectic display inside the main door of Hall 5. From an MGF to an ice cream tricycle to a double decker bus, each vehicle had its own board.
"The designs were branded with the FBHVC logo and colours whilst still allowing plenty of room for eye-catching visuals and information about each vehicle. Chairman David Whale commented how they were a great addition to the display – feedback that means a lot coming from someone so respected in the community.
"Beyond the show boards, I was honoured to be invited back for the second year to work with the team behind the prestigious Hall of Fame presentation. The work involved creating a 4m x 2m graphic representing all of this year's worthy inductees: the Ford Escort, the Midland Automobile Club, Danny Hopkins and Professor Peter Stevens. Each inductee was also presented with a framed A3 version as a memory of the occasion. Being able to contribute my design skills to such an important part of the show is something I'm genuinely grateful for.
