Daimler & Lanchester Owners’ Club raises £2,573 for charity during their International Rally in Scotland.

Published: 15/07/2025

The Daimler & Lanchester Owners’ Club (DLOC) is delighted to announce that its 59th International Rally, held at the iconic Crieff Hydro in Scotland in June, was a resounding success.

It brought together members and enthusiasts from across the UK and mainland Europe to celebrate the historic Daimler, Lanchester and BSA marques in the stunning Perthshire countryside.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, the rally proudly raised £2,573 for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA), which is Scotland’s only charity air ambulance and is funded entirely by the generosity of people. Thanks to SCAA, they are able to respond to time-critical accidents and emergencies throughout Scotland and its many Islands.

The DLOC extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, contributed and made this memorable gathering possible.

The photo shows the handing over of the cheque by DLOC organiser Mark Hooghiemstra to crew members Gillian, Wendy and Pilot Bill at Perth Airport. The Airbus EC135 helicopter is joined by Mark and Lorna’s 1969 Daimler V8 250 and club members Jim and Margaret Shepherd’s 1961 Daimler SP250.

The DLOC was formed in 1964 and is open to anyone interested in Daimlers, Lanchesters and BSAs. There are 1500 members worldwide.

The DLOC incorporates both the Lanchester Register and the SP250 Owners’ Club and is particularly proud of its association with Jaguar Cars Ltd and the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT), which has a growing collection of rare historical Daimler and Lanchester cars, which they kindly bring to a number of club events.

Between the three companies, Daimler, Lanchester and BSA, manufactured practically every imaginable form of transport: from heavy commercials, buses, air and waterborne craft, to family cars, luxury saloons, limousines and sports cars.

Its aim is to embrace owners of all vehicles of the marques, to be a source of information as well as a very sociable club.
