David Whale becomes Federation Vice-President

Federation Chairman, David Whale, has agreed with the Board, that he will not seek re-election at the forthcoming AGM (17 October 2026).
As many are aware, David has been undergoing intensive therapy in recent months, and given that this programme stretches into the New Year and beyond, it has been agreed that it is in his, and the Federation’s best interests that he be released from the day-to-day responsibility of running such a large representative organisation to concentrate his energies on this programme.
The Board however is determined to retain David’s wealth of knowledge, wisdom and strategic insight, gained during his years of distinguished service, and accordingly he has agreed to accept the appointment of lifetime Vice-President.
