OBITUARY: David Smith, National Traction Engine Trust

It is with great sadness we have to report the loss of David Smith, 80. He was admitted to hospital on Thursday, and sadly he passed away on Friday 23rd of February.
David joined the National Traction Engine Trust in 1980. Over his 44 years of service, he became a pivotal member of General Council.
During his time managing the Technical Services Unit, he was responsible for writing many of the Trust’s operating systems.
David was elevated to Vice President in 2022. His vast knowledge and friendship will be greatly missed by the Trust and the wider movement.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his wife Julie and family at this sad time.
