Severe weather warnings cancel Sunday's Chatsworth Signature Classic & Performance Motor Show

Steve Bishop, of event organiser Great British Motor Shows, issued the following statement at 4pm on Friday 18 July: "Sadly due to the weather forecast and severe weather warnings in place from the Met office and other services for Saturday and Sunday, I have had to take the tough decision to cancel the forthcoming Chatsworth Signature Classic & Performance Motor Show due this Sunday 20th July.

"Everyone with advanced bookings will be refunded and I will be back in touch with further updates.

"It is disheartening when we've had such a great run of good weather and such a great uptake of bookings and exhibitors but we have to take the decisions based on information available.  

"From the first warning yesterday, the time of the warning has moved and the forecast, originally improving, has taken a turn for the worse.  It is based on this and  support of the team at Chatsworth that we have had to take this difficult decision.  

"I am liaising with our insurance partners and will get these refunds processed as a priority, please bear with me as we process this in the coming days and weeks.  Anyone with a commemorative car plaque I will arrange to have sent in the post so keep an eye out for those.

"My thanks for your support and we will be back with later in the year as below and back for Chatsworth Signature event in 2026."
