International Accolade for HERO

The Directors of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs would like to record their delight and congratulation to member club, The Historic Endurance Rally Organisation for winning the “Rally or Tour of the Year 2015” at the prestigious International Historic Motoring Awards. The Royal Automobile Club 1000 Mile Trial is the benchmark for events in the pre-war category, and the event fought off opposition from the likes of other nominees such as the Mille Miglia and the Trans America Challenge.

The 2016 event will start from Edinburgh – with a champagne reception and dinner on board H.M.Y. Britannia before the action starts the following day. The route will take in the best and most suitable roads the UK has to offer before making its way via Slaley Hall, Blenheim Palace and Goodwood to Woodcote Park, the country home of the Royal Automobile Club.
