Museum to run its classic buses on London's route 19

As part of its programme to bring buses out of the museum, to run again in London, on Saturday 29th March 2025, between 9am and 5pm the London Bus Museum will be running heritage buses dating from the 1950s - 1970s alongside the normal daily service on route 19, between Finsbury Park and Battersea Bridge.  

Arranged in conjunction with TfL, the London Transport Route 19 Heritage Day, runs alongside the normal route 19, for which fares apply on TfL buses.

The 19 has been running for many years and has more or less followed the same route since 1906.

The rides are free and there’s no need to book - just put your hand out at any route 19 bus stop and a heritage bus will pick you up. 

The buses to be used will mainly be RTs from the 1950s and RMs from the 1960s with a few newer ones included for good measure and if we’re lucky, there will also be at least one STL from the 1940s.
